    Assassin Snails
    The listed item is for 3 quantity Assassin snails. The listing pictures are of our actual snails. These snails are raised in our planted freshwater aquarium tanks. All our tanks are monitored daily and are extremely healthy as well as the snails. These are high quality Assassin snails as you can see in the pictures of the listing. Sizes will average around 1/2’’-3/4'' or larger. Assassin snail are great to use in aquariums that have become over populated with pest snails that breed to rapidly and lay eggs all over the aquarium. They are especially used in tank with live plants to help control the pest snail population instead of introducing harmful chemicals. These snails also help with algae control and eating left over fish foods in the aquarium. They even help to turn over substrate from getting too compact and holding in decomposed waste which can cause gas pockets potentially killing your fish.
    When your snails are received and added to your tank it can take up to 24 hours before they become fully acclimated and feel safe enough to move around. Just because they don't move as soon as they are added to the tank does not mean they are dead. Unless they are hanging out of the shell lifeless when you receive them they are still alive. If after 24 hours you do not see any movement please contact us immediately and we will be sure to contact you back within 24 hours to make your order satisfactory.

    Shipping policy
    When will items ship?
    We ship snail orders Monday and Tuesday.  This is to make sure the order does not get held over the weekend in a shipping warehouse or truck with poor temperature conditions. This helps to ensure the condition and survival of the snails during the shipping process. We also do not ship on holidays as this can also leave the potential for the same happenings.
    DOA/Damaged Claims

    We guarantee live arrival on all of our snails. In the rare event that some show up dead, we must be notified in 48 hours.
    Please understand, sometimes snails need time to recover and acclimate to their new environment after shipping in a dark box for 1-4 days. With good water conditions and lighting, they will do great but still need time to acclimate
    .
    Upon receiving the snails, they should be taken out of the packaging and allowed to acclimate to the water temperature of your tank before being placed in the tank. If the snails do not move around this does not mean they are dead. It can take up to 24 hours before they start to become active again. You can place them in the tank with some food a few inches away to better encourage them to get moving. If after 24 hours you do not see activity from your snails then please take clear photos of all of the dead snails outside of the tank. Make sure that the picture is of the opening of the shell of the snails. Usually when a snail is dead it will mostly be hanging outside of it shell. After receiving the photos and validating the DOA (dead on arrival) we will issue a refund for each snail dead. This does not account for the first 2 dead snails, as 2 extra snails are always included with all orders just in case others do not survive the journey.
    Failure to comply with one or more of these policies will mean we can no longer cover you.

    If you are concerned about extreme heat or cold, we highly recommend having the post office hold your package for the estimated delivery day. This is a completely free option which can be requested online via usps.com or in person at your local post office. This way, your package will remain indoors, protected, and out of the elements for you to pick up once the package has arrived.

    We guarantee live arrival of all snails. This means we assure that snails will show up alive. We do not guarantee your success in keeping the snails alive and healthy. Lots of outside factors that we cannot control go into the success or failure of keeping snails healthy. We recommend that the customer do their research on the particular species that is being purchased to better understand the care that particular snails require. We are here to help but are not liable after you have received your snails alive.
