If you purchase 2 in your cart, we will ship 3 orders of 5 shrimp to you! They are small and not fully colored up yet. Very red cherry shrimp from healthy varied genetics! Many of the shrimps from this strain, when FULL-GROWN, will be super red in color. Second set of photos show what was recently shipped. They are easy to breed and you'll receive both males and females to start! Newly hatched shrimps will live peacefully with the adults! Baby shrimps do not need any special care, and will grow in the same aquarium as the adults. Tips on breeding Red Cherry Shrimp: - Keep them in plain dechlorinated tap water. - Do not use any other chemicals. - Do not worry about water parameters. They will do great in any tap water that has TDS of 80-800, and 6.5-8.5 pH. - They will grow fine on any high quality fish food. - Having a light and some aquatic plants will be very helpful for maintaining water quality. - Note on potted plants from your LFS. Remove the "rockwool" material and rise your plants. They contain fertilizers, and algaecides. The algaecide is extremely toxic to shrimp. - Use a sponge filter for filtration, or put a sponge over the intake of you power filter. - DO NOT OVER FEED, and soon you will have HUNDREDS!! You will receive SMALL Cherry Shrimp (1/8 - 1/2 inch). When they arrive, they will be a little stressed from the shipping and may look white/clear. Give them some time to settle in and color up. These shrimps are bred for Health and Color. They come from good genetics and females will be bright red when they mature. Males will also get red, but not as nice as the females.
